CHINA has donated 20 computers and printers worth $40,000 (about
sh77m) to the office of the Inspector General of Government (IGG)
and the Ministry of Justice, as Charles Ariko reports.
The Chinese ambassador, Li Qiangmin, handed over the donation to the
IGG's office on Monday and to the Ministry of Justice yesterday.
"We hope these computers will help you in your work to fight
corruption," Qiangmin said.
The IGG, Jotham Tumwesigye, said the donation was a symbol of
excellent Sino-Ugandan relations.
They were donated by the Chinese ministry of supervision, the IGG
office's equivalent.
The Justice Minister, Janat Mukwaya, thanked China for the support.
